The state water agency is taking steps to alleviate problems faced by people in getting drinking water due to the rising sea levels every year, a senior government official said.

Sea levels in Singapore could increase by 1.37m by 2150, if temperatures rise by more than 4 Celsius by the end of the century because of excessive greenhouse gas emissions, a new study has found.
